Owen Bondono (he/they) teaches 11th grade English at Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Michigan, and is the 2021 Michigan Teacher of the Year. He identifies as transgender and bisexual. Owen is focused on bringing anti-racist and queer-affirming practices into the classroom and advocating for queer rights in the world at large.
